SAS is a point to point connectivity storage system architecture that has many advantages over its parallel SCSI predecessor. It is designed to replace the SCSI interconnect system with a much smaller, more flexible serial design. SAS connectors allow devices to be cabled or directly attached to the backplance. Data speed can be up to 6Gbps. Winstronics provides a full range of SAS cable and board mount connectors as well as cable assemblies. We offer SAS specification compliant multi-lane external and internal cabling solutions performing at 3Gbps and 6Gbps data rates.
